Project Prints in Auction

On November 17, 2011 the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation hosted it's third Wine Auction and Vintner Dinner at The Houstonian Hotel in Houston, TX. This year the featured wines were 'Pursued by Bear' from actor Kyle MacLachlan and 'Dunham Cellars' from winemaker Eric Dunham.

This year I was asked to donate a couple of my prints photographed for The National Parks Photography Project to the auction. I was very pleased when they sold for $850 and $950 each!

What is The National Parks Photography Project Blog?

The National Parks Photography Project blog will chronicle the photography of America's 58 national parks by acclaimed American photographer Mark Burns over the next four years.

Once the photography is completed the finished prints will be featured in a photography exhibit celebrating the centennial anniversary of America's National Park Service in 2016. Along with the photographs on display, a section of the exhibit will also pay tribute to the long history of artists and photographers in the national parks and the signifigant role that many of them played in the creation of the parks.

The inaugural venue for the exhibit is the George Bush Presidential Library & Museum in College Station, Texas. The exhibit is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2015.
